Welcome in the Land of Siena!
– I introduce myself
My name is Chiara Biccellari, a Siena tour guide, authorized since the nineties, to tour around Siena and the surroundings, the place where I have lived all my life and I have roots in. My work experience mostly concerns families and Italian, French, English and Spanish travel groups, with me offering traditional tours and customized itineraries, based on my clients’ needs.
I’m a professional who deeply loves her job, which I still do with the same passion since the very beginning, trying to engage people and convey the love for the city and its territory.

Siena: birthplace of the Gothic style
UNESCO site since 1995, Siena is a town where tradition and innovation, sacred and profane, history and legend, meet.
The town, Etruscan establishment and Roman colony, still maintainsthe featuresof its ‘’Golden Age’’, the Middle Age, in which it lived its heyday before the Black Death in 1348. The old town offers monuments and museums that witness a glorious past and the presence of important andinternationally known artists.. As the first hardwired town in Italy, Siena still preserves medieval roofs, not even defaced by satellite antennas or dishes.
San Gimignano: the city of towers in the middle of Val d’Elsa
Pienza and the Val d’Orcia: exceptional UNESCO sites
The Val d’Orcia Park of Art, Nature and Cultureis a World Heritage site since 2004 for its excellent state of conservation of the landscapesource of inspiration for artists and authors among centuries. For its unicity, together with the Chianti, this is one of the most popular areas in Tuscany, and was also setting for some movies and advertising campaigns.
The Val di Merse: ‘’a land of endless beauty’’
On the west side of Siena, where the metalliferous hills and the Maremma meet, the Val di Merse is an unmissable stop for everyone who loves natural environments. It develops between the Merse river basins and the basins of its tributary, the Farma, and is dotted with ancient villages and extraordinary monuments, among which the San Galgano Abbey.
Such a passionate and professional tour guide. She’s able to combine artistic and historic information with stories about the reality in Siena and the local folklore.
Our tour exceeded our expectations and lasted even longer than we had originally planned, which is equivalent to passion and commitment to tourists.
